How to Treat Type III Diabetes

How to Treat Type III Diabetes

My name is Dr. Troy Giles. I am a doctor of Chiropractic and a Natural Internist. Today I wanted to talk to you a little about Diabetes and what they are suggesting is that there is a new idea out there of Type III Diabetes, which is dementia, Alzheimer’s, and issues in the brain that are being affected by diabetic issues. They are suggesting that diabetes in the system, in the body, also affects small veins and arteries within the brain itself. They are suggesting that people that have Alzheimer’s or dementia basically aren’t pro-fusing blood to the deep recesses of their brain, as well as they used to. So the peripheral vascular disease, if you will, is affecting and getting in to the brain. So the ability to recall, to know what is happening, to remember, to be there presently. I don’t know if you know anyone with dementia, but it is a sad thing to see your loved ones diminish and their ability to remember. So, looking at diabetes is so vital, and watching your sugar intake, increasing your vegetables, increasing and eating about 80-90 percent, literally fruits and vegetables, your proteins less than 10 percent, proteins as far as meat proteins. Looking at your proteins as far as your nuts and seeds, whole proteins that have not had to be cooked, in order for them to still be a natural protein versus a denatured protein. When we cook proteins it denatures them and changes them. So chicken fish is still at a different unnatural protein. I regressed there just a little bit, but going back in to trying to eat more vegetables. I was very impressed the other day with an advertisement saw on the T.V., this just happened to be one, I don’t endorse this one in particular, but I like the idea of the Nutribullet, to be able to create green smoothies. Green smoothies have protein in them in the form of nuts and a lot of vegetables and a little bit of fruit so that they taste very good. You can make them individually or you can get the big Vitamix or Shopko or Costco has one, I can’t remember the name of that one, but anyway, there are a lot of big mixers that you can mix up green smoothies. Having the ability to not have so much refined sugar. Also, I have been hearing recently about our wheat and our grains being, having the ability, a little bit of an Opiat affect, so that we are not actually getting high with our grain, but we are getting addicted to them from the genetic alterations that we see. That is just what I am hearing on the web and out there. But, getting in and diminishing the amount of sugar, refined sugars in your diet that create inflammation. Sugar is inflammatory. Yes, we need sugar for our brain function, but having too much sugar in the form of cakes, cookies, candy, pasta, bread, those kind of things that create too much sugar, sugar is inflammatory, in that it is inflammatory, it will start to shut down and become inflamed within the small arterials and venules in the brain, specifically talking about this Type III Diabetes, causing that shutdown and overall dementia and brain function issues. So how we then counteract that is, of course, eating a diet with less sugar, and secondly we give nutrient. What I give here at the office is called Cardiar. You can buy this at the health food store or not Cardiar, but L-Arginine and L-Citrulline. This was the 98 Nobel Peace Prize for health. The concept of having L-Arginine has a precursor to Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is created in the cells of the arteries. Nitric Oxide creates more, elasticity of the arteries and venules so that you actually can have more elastic. That’s the first thing. Secondly, it creates more smoothness of the arteries. Okay so they are almost like cellophane, not cellophane, but what you have on your cooking, that makes it smoother anyway. Okay. Teflon makes it smoother so you don’t have the grit, as much ability to have cholesterol plaquing. It also helps to diminish cholesterol plaquing as well. With the L-Arginine, you have L-Citrulline, that makes it so that the half life, the break down of that nitric oxide inside the artery takes it from two seconds out to 24 hours. So the idea of L-Arginine and L-Citrulline and with Cardiart actually has other ingredients that help the replication of DNA appropriately so that the arteries are producing healthy DNA within the cells as well. That can dilate and help heal and make more elastic those arteries and venules and arterials in the brain. Not me, but one of my friends had a patient that had dementia for 10 years, couldn’t see, didn’t know his daughter, had never talked to anybody in 10 years. They got him on this particular supplement with L-Arginine and L-Citrulline and after two months of taking three doses a day, which is a scoop. That was literally 15,000 mg of L-Arginine, and 3,000 mg of L-Citrulline in two months. One day he just said to his daughter, he just kind of looked at her and said “You know what? I haven’t seen you in a long time. How have you been?” Just out of the blue. The idea there was that the more profusion of blood had gotten into the brain recesses and helped to pull out the memories and the brain function. So think of diabetes as just a degenerative, something that you go to the store and purchase. You have got to go purchase diabetes. It is not something you catch usually. Type I, I find in my office, that many of the Type I, which is juvenile onset, happens right after they have been infected by a virus. One concept is that it is possibly the pancreas had been hit by a virus, or other issues, making it so it doesn’t produce as it should. But I have seen Type I’s diminish as well, so just by working on their diet and getting rid of a few layers of infection. If this had been beneficial, feel free to call the office here. I can’t give you a diagnosis. I can’t give you a treatment plan, but we can give you a consultation and tell you some things that you can do. So feel free to call the office number here that you see on your screen. Until then, I hope you have a great day.
